47 Meters Down: Uncaged follows the diving adventure of four teenage girls (Sophie Nélisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju and Sistine Stallone) exploring a submerged Mayan City. Once inside, their rush of excitement turns into a jolt of terror as they discover the sunken ruins are a hunting ground for deadly Great White Sharks. With their air supply steadily dwindling, the friends must navigate the underwater labyrinth of claustrophobic caves and eerie tunnels in search of a way out of their watery hell.

This was seriously so intense, the shark scenes are crazy! I spent the whole movie on the edge of my seat. The beginning lead up to get the girls into the shark situation didn’t take up too long and was fairly credible. Then the shark shows up and it’s utter insanity until the end of the movie. There’s a scene with a flashing red light and the sharks are circling, was so suspenseful I could barely breath. Action packed to the very last second. With only an hour left they’re not only racing against time they are racing against life and death.47 Meters Down is a highly claustrophobic shark movie starring Mandy Moore and Matthew Modine but it’s flaws are quite unique.Telling the story of two girls who go into a shark cage in Mexico to see the great whites but fall into peril when the chain snaps and they’re plunged into darkness.

Let me say that visually the movie is incredible and is one of the most claustrophobic heart pounding films I’ve seen in years. You feel for these ladies, the movie gets across the panic, severity and time restrictions very well and it taps into something which makes me personally feel very uncomfortable.
