But it doesn’t stay quiet for longBatman Begins is monumental not only for the superhero genre but for the film industry as a whole and that becuase of Christopher Nolan, who (finally out of all the directors) got it right. Unlike Michael Keaton films Batman Begins made me care about Bruce Wayne. The whole first hour of the film is about Bruce Wayne, not Batman which puts lots of trust on the audience on Nolan’s behalf. Christian Bale as Bruce does a noteworthy job despite sounding like he’s batteling with throat cancer as Batman, nevertheless an acceptional job.It’s hard to find a problem with the performances but there is one; Katie Holmes. I wouldn’t consider her performance distractingly bad but she seemed too poorly prepared and too unconvincing to play Rachel.
