Storyline : It is based on the BBC TV show about a troubled police detective working in Mumbai.death bed. When she arrives she finds he is gone and has left her the responsibility of saving and reviving the Ajanta Theater where she used to dance. The problem is that the political officers want it torn down and turned into a shopping mall. The storyline follows Dia and her challenge to stand up for what she believes in and fight the cause to the end, while trying to win back the love and support of the people of the town whom she walked out on ten years prior.

Based on real life incidents that occurred in India in 1987-88, the storyline revolves around a group of con artists who pulled off many clever robberies during 1980s, and robbed famous businessmen and politicians by pretending to be the CBI or Income tax officers and conducting raids. On the pretext of conducting raids they would take away all the black money hoarded by them.Finally 2013 has its first Awesome movie. Its been an year with all crappy movies so far. Special 26 steals the show easily.

The characters and actors have been so well chosen. Each actor has got the perfect character. The casting could not have been better than this. The direction is superb. So is the Art Direction. The story does not lag anywhere. So its a superb story with some really good editing.

Talking about actors –

Akshay Kumar – comes out of his day to day roles of khiladi and joker stuff. This is serious cinema which makes him a complete actor.

Anupam Kher – reminds everyone that he is still very much the same awesome actor as the one in 90s.

Jimmy Sheirgill – chooses the right kind of role finally. He perfectly fits the role of SI Ranvir Singh and also fits well in the 1987 plot.

Manoj Bajpai – as good as ever. Special 26 ka CBI inspector Waseem Khan is as good as Wasseypur ka Sardar Khan.In the early 1980s in India, a group of con artists rob well-known businessmen and politicians by posing as officers of the Central Bureau of Intelligence or income tax officials. The gang stages fake raids during which they steal great amounts of money from their targets.

Prashant Kumar an orchestra singer of 90s known as Fanney Khan is fan of Mohdmmad Rafi.But could never make it to the music world.When his daughter is born he names her Lata after Lata Mageshkar and promises to make her big singer.Many years later Lata aspires to be a singer but is criticized for her weight.Prashant now works in a small factory which shuts its operation and he feels his dreams of making Lata a singer will be shattered.Prashant takes up to driving taxi secretly.Baby Singh a well known singer sits in his car.Prashant kidnaps her keeps her and takes to his factory where he is supported by his friend Adir.They both call Baby’s manager Karan Kakkad and ask him for ransom.This movie is awful.. People should stay away from this movie if they want to save their money and time…. The plot has so many loopholes,that you fail to understand whats going on…Except for Anil Kapoor and the new girl Pihu Sand,the rest of the cast are meh…. The songs are no good and for a movie based on music,it serves no purpose….
