Jatt is a mischievous lovable sort of a guy whilst Juliet is the typical Punjabi modern day girl. Sparks fly when their paths cross on their way to Canada due to their different outlook on life. But as faith brings them together time and time again their hatred for each slowly turns into friendship only to realize its true meaning when they get separated. Will life give them one more chance to prove their love for each other or will they continue to be at loggerheads..When I first saw the trailer for this movie,I’d say I liked it. But I still didn’t have any high expectations because I know that punjabi movies may start off well, but eventually fall flat and predictable once the couplefalls in love. Cuz then their parents don’t agree and blah blah blah.

Coming back to Jatt and Juliet, this movie is drop dead hilarious!! This is the one movie that makes you laugh every single moment!! And yes, I am not exaggerating! Diljit and Neeru couldn’t be any better. Diljit is the one singer who knows acting (unlike most others), and the movie couldn’t be the same with anybody else but Neeru Bajwa. They don’t sing the bollywood-like romantic songs. This movie has the original punjabi flavor to all the comedy and the romance and this is the USP!! If you understand punjabi at all, I ‘d say go for it. This is the one not to be missed!!

This movie was everything that I expected and more. Diljit is hands down the best actor in Punjabi Cinema. His comedy skills are commendable. I was laughing so hard through out the whole movie that I had tears in my eyes and my stomach started hurting by the end of the movie (No kidding). I love the way how today’s Punjabi movies uses the Punjabi language in such a beautiful way that we, NRI’s, feel so connected and intrigued by it. SardaarJi is a fresh breeze of air for Pollywood. Mandy Takhar is a surprise package in Sardaar Ji. Her acting wasn’t really up to the mark, but I know she can and improve in future projects. Neeru Bajwa was, as always, really good. I will definitely watch SardaarJi again, because it’s worth every single penny.
