It’s up to Colonel/General Johnny Rico, reluctant hero of the original Bug Invasion on Planet P, to lead a team of Troopers on a daring rescue mission.I am probably re-iterating the same as everyone else but yes the 1st Starship Troopers was fantastic, the 2nd awful and this is average, the only saving grace being the return of Johnny Rico (van Dein). I suppose it was too much to ask for the return of Denise Richards.The plot, effects and acting are all pretty average. The movie also ripped off most of the first film with the TV adverts with the line (Do you want to know more) every 5 minutes, Troopers shouting It’s a good day to die sir and some of the fight scenes although the cgi was not as good could have been cut directly from the original film.The war against the Bugs continues! Scott and his team are accused of being terrorists that caused the explosion and must now stop the fire twister before it destroys LA.It’s a Saturday morning, and I ended up watching this TV movie. Please save your self 90 mins (because you’ll never get them back) and don’t watch this. From the poor CGI, cardboard acting and terrible story line this film watches like a turd covered in puke, gently heated would smell like…absolutely terrible!
