Chasing clues together through the neon-lit streets of Ryme City–a sprawling, modern metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side by side in a hyper-realistic This movie stayed true to the Pokémon franchise very few (if any) other video game adaptations has done. I do have to note that it feels like a huge homage to everyone who grew up with Pokémon, and I’m not sure how the younger generation would think of it. But I sure hope they keep doing them.

The biggest downfall of this movie was honestly the story and plot. I didn’t really care for it at all and sometimes during the more plot-heavy moments I got a bit bored while waiting for the next “Pokémon-thing” to happen. I’m still giving it a 10/10 just for surprising the **** out of me! “Underworld” is no ordinary horror movie. It tells the tale of a secret war between vampires and werewolves (or as they’re called here, lycans). Kate Beckinsale stars as Selene, a lethal assassin on the vampire side. Scott Speedman plays Michael Corvin, a man who finds himself wrapped up in this brutal war. This movie is rather well done, despite all the blood and graphic violence. The look of the movie is dark, Gothic and brooding, which fits very well with the story. The script is interesting, using science to bring the vampire and werewolf legends into the modern age (such as saying the lycans are allergic to silver). The story of the bitter rivalry between to two mythic characters would make a fascinating prequel, and the sequel should follow “Underworld” with real impact as well.

This movie continues the saga of war between the vampires and the lycans. This movie goes back to the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene, the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael, the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines. This will be a modern tale of action, intrigue, and forbidden love, which takes them into the battle to end all wars as the immortals must finally face their retribution.Just got back from watching it tonight, let me tell you, the first big surprise was how how many people turned out for it, for a Thursday night the place was packed as if Harry Potter had just come out, it’s been a while since my local theatre was like that.

Now to the movie itself. I liked the first one but this one was an improvement. Mostly because of Scott Speedman’s character Michael. The last movie only gave us a glimpse into what he has become, and here we get to see him kick butt alongside Selene as what is pretty much an equal. Watching him fight and take-down werewolves was great.
